Privacy Policy
This is a courtesy translation. The German version (Datenschutzerklärung) is legally binding.
1. Controller
Konnectika — a brand of RHYSE Global (owner: Cedrik Stefan Synclair Mvondo Mvondo) and Nelvie Tiafack, Burscheiderstr. 293, 51381 Leverkusen, Germany, email: info@rhyseglobal.com (see Imprint).
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you access the site, the host automatically processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type) as far as necessary to deliver, stabilise and secure the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; the transfer is based on the EU standard contractual clauses and Vercel's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
3. Newsletter sign-up
If you sign up for our mailing list, we process your email address (and optionally your name) to send you information about Konnectika. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or informally at info@rhyseglobal.com. After withdrawal we delete your data from the list.
4. Contact and partner enquiries
If you use our contact or partner enquiry form, we process the details you provide (name, email address, company if given, topic, message) to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and, where the enquiry concerns a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. We delete the data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
4a. Live photo wall (konnectika.com/live)
At our events you can upload photos via konnectika.com/live, optionally with a first name and caption. The photos are shown on a screen at the event and may be used for our recap of the evening. We process the photo, the details you provide and a pseudonymised identifier derived from your IP address (hash, to prevent abuse), not the IP address itself. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future by emailing us. Our team removes inappropriate photos. Photos are stored on our own server in the EU and deleted no later than 30 days after the event unless they are used in the recap. Only upload photos that you took yourself and whose subjects agree to them being shown.
5. Ticket raffle
By signing up before the closing date, you entered the raffle for invitations/tickets to the event. To run the raffle we process your email address (selection and notification of winners). The legal basis is the performance of the raffle (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Details in the terms of participation.
6. Storage and recipients
Sign-up and enquiry data are stored in our database at Supabase, Inc. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider. Data is not passed on to any other third parties. We store the data until you withdraw your consent, and no longer than 12 months after the event.
7. Cookies and reach measurement
This website uses no tracking cookies. Only the dismissal of the cookie notice and your language preference are stored locally in your browser (localStorage / cookie). To measure reach we use the open-source software Umami on a server operated by us within the EU. Umami works without cookies and without identifying you: the IP address is anonymised immediately and only aggregated values (page views, referrer, country, device type) are stored. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in evaluating the use of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
8. Your rights
- Access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
